To Grandmother’s House

To Grandmother's House by Garden Windows Photography

I realize I’m a little late in posting this. In all honesty, I forgot I had this photograph and how perfect it fits for Easter. Ah well, it’ll just have to do for Spring. Can anyone guess what kind of cookies these are? I’ll give you a hint: they’re handmade.

    1. Yes. They’re called springerle cookies and you use springerle molds to make them. The molds were originally hand carved from wood, usually detailing extravagant settings. When the mold is pressed into the cookie dough, the picture is transferred to the cookie. Aren’t they amazing? Not only do they look pretty, but they taste wonderful.
