clouds of lace

For an early birthday present, Mom (her actual birthday is tomorrow) and I visited Gibbs Garden today. I took LOTS of pictures. They had tons of hydrangeas, tucked away through winding woodland paths. Most of them were the mop head variety but I think there was a flat lace top(?). Not sure if I’m calling that right. I absolutely adored these large, white hydrangea. The heads were enormous, but were actually made up of tiny flowers, giving an almost airy, lace-like appearance.
